The public is invited to share feedback on barriers they’ve faced to housing in the Tri-Cities and outlying areas.
The Tri-Cities HOME Consortium, Housing Authority of the City of Kennewick and Housing Authority of the City of Pasco have teamed up to create a survey to assess the status of fair housing.
The survey will collect information on experiences with barriers faced with housing choice, affordability and other aspects of finding housing in Benton and Franklin counties.
Barriers to fair housing are any actions, omissions or decisions taken based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin that restrict housing choices.
The survey will help create an analysis of impediments to fair housing choice that is also required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to receive federal funding.
The survey is open until June 15 and may be taken at surveymonkey.com/r/DR7KMR3.
