The remodel of Mid-Columbia Libraries’ West Richland
branch was recently completed, reopening April 27.
The $251,500 remodel at 3803 W. Van Giesen St.
included the installation of new shelving, paint, furniture, electrical
outlets, an improved story time area for children and custom artwork
celebrating the Mid-Columbia region’s unique culture and history.
In addition, new materials worth $50,000 were added to
library’s collection, resulting in a 62 percent increase in children’s titles. A
new curbside pickup service for materials on-hold has also been launched at the
branch.

the general contractor.
