The Pasco School District completed construction of its 17th elementary school in July.
Columbia River Elementary at 9011 Burns Road has 34 classrooms and will serve students from kindergarten to fifth grade. The school has a library, gym, multipurpose room with stage, a commercial kitchen and space for administrators.
The playground features accessible structures, a playfield and separate dropoff/pickup loops for school buses and parents.
The $24 million building is constructed with a steel frame, masonry veneer and metal siding and a metal roof.
Paul Hamada of Chervenell Construction of Kennewick served as project manager. Alliance Management & Construction Solutions of Kennewick served as the owner’s representative.
Eliot Black of Design West Architects in Kennewick designed the school.
