Pasco's public works director is stepping down.
Steve Worley, who's led the city's Public Works Department since 2018, is leaving on Jan. 5 to become the public works director in Vancouver, Washington.
Maria Serra, the department's deputy director, will fill the post on an interim basis while the city conducts a nationwide search for Worley's successor.
"The city extends its gratitude to Mr. Worley for his contributions to the Public Works Department and the city of Pasco. The city looks forward to the continued success of the Public Works Department under Maria Serra's leadership," said City Manager Adam Lincoln in a statement.
Worley is credited with helping develop Pasco's Process Water Reuse Facility and overseeing significant enhancements to city infrastructure.
