The city of Pasco’s newest fire station, Station 85, located at 3624 Road 100, opened Feb. 14.
Station 85 is staffed by four dedicated personnel and is equipped with a medic unit and a structure engine to respond to emergencies.
The station’s strategic location allows for a primary response area that covers neighborhoods south of Interstate 182, extending support to the regions served by stations 83 and 84.
“The establishment of Station 85 is a testament to the City Council's ongoing investment in the safety and well-being of our community,” said Pasco Fire Chief Kevin Crowley in a statement. “With this new station, the city is enhancing the ability to respond more quickly to emergencies, thereby increasing the safety net for our residents.”
G2 Construction is the general contractor.
The city plans to celebrate the opening of Station 85 with a grand opening event in April, where community members will be invited to tour the facility, meet firefighters and learn more about the services provided. A date has not yet been announced.
