The city of Richland’s newest fire station is located in the growing residential area of Badger Mountain South.
With its proximity to Interstate 82 off Dallas Road at 4307 Trowbridge Blvd., the $6.9 million Station 76 ensures quicker response times to emergencies in the area. The city noted this is more important than ever with expanding housing developments, parks, commercial areas and the addition of a future school.
The facility also features dedicated space for police officers stationed in the area, enabling them to stay close by during their shifts.
The 10,850-square-foot state-of-the-art station is the sixth fire station in Richland and the fourth to include space for a police presence.
Construction was completed in September. A community open house was held Sept. 17.
DGR Grant Construction of Richland is the general contractor.
Architects West is the architect.
