A longtime Pasco trucking company has opened up a new school, Martinez Technical Institute in Pasco, to provide commercial driver’s license certification.
Martinez Trucking’s school at 2202 Garland St. in Pasco will be used for training and education. The building is scheduled to be finished in December.
The single-story, 1,800-square-foot building features 10-foot walls, cathedral ceilings, a custom epoxy floor and a front exterior that’s stucco-wrapped with stone accents.
It features classroom space, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and three office rooms.
The building cost $120,000 and the land was $175,000.
The owners of Martinez Trucking have been in the trucking industry for 35 years. They have four full-time employees. Zenaido Martinez III, Stephen Martinez and Nathan Martinez are the supervisors.
