McCurley Chevrolet has completed a multipart expansion at 1325 Autoplex Way, Pasco.
The expansion included five pre-engineered metal buildings, a heavy truck shop, a fluid building, a main service shop and an express service shop, totaling 77,116 square feet.
The heavy truck stop includes nine stalls, an increase from six stalls, and a three-ton overhead crane. The new main service shop has increased from 18 stalls to 23 stalls, and there is also a new six-stall express service shop. These new spaces are more efficient and spacious, with new fluid delivery systems and tools, increasing service capacity by almost 60%.
The project included a small, steel-framed electrical building composed of structural steel studs with metal roofing and siding. A two-story structure of structural steel expanded the parts department and added 2,800 square feet of office space.
Over 26,000 square feet were remodeled and repurposed to triple the parts department capacity, expand the retail parts area, create a completely enclosed service drive, and add new technician restrooms and a training area.
The expanded parts department segregated shipping and receiving and includes automated tire storage to maximize floor space.
The expansions will expedite turnaround times for customers and create a safer and more pleasant place for the employees to work, improving the congestion McCurley Chevrolet saw in 2022.
Mountain States Construction is the general contractor for the project.
LPR Architecture is the architect.
