Event Description

We are excited to kick off the 2024 Fall Season with our club meeting on Thursday September 12th, 2024: at CBC SWL bldg. - Lecture Hall Classroom 221. Our speaker is Gary Randall. Read on for his very modest bio, he really is quite accomplished. He just recently returned from a trip to Alaska and will entertain us with his adventures, and educate us with his experience. Gary Randall is a photographer who lives in Oregon between Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. Gary is married to Darlene, who is also a photographer and has spent most of her life living and exploring Alaska. They live with their dog Hazel and their cat Inky. Gary and Darlene visit Alaska as often as possible. Gary spends his life pursuing his dream of being a Nature Photographer and travelling to places he’s never been. Gary has been an artist and a photographer most of his life and has been a full-time photographer and adventurist for the last 25 years. He loves to photograph all forms of nature, landscape or wildlife. Gary’s love of landscape and wildlife photography has taken him to some amazing locations and experienced moments in time he wouldn’t realize otherwise. Photography has enriched his life in so many ways. Gary enjoys conducting workshops on his own as well as through Destination Earth Photography Tours. He has led or co-led workshops in France, Iceland, Alaska, Colorado, Glacier National Park, Caddo Lake Texas, the Columbia River Gorge, the Oregon Coast, Eastern Oregon and the California Redwoods. Gary has a passion for helping others realize their dream through the same path he has taken.
