Washington Water Trust will host a benefit screening of the Fly Fishing Film Tour at Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla on Saturday, October 19. The event will feature inspiring films, a silent auction with items from local businesses, and a raffle of outdoor gear. Proceeds will help restore flows to local rivers and streams, including the Walla Walla River, Touchet River, and Mill Creek. Tickets are now available online and will be sold at the theatre on Oct. 19 after 5 pm.
The Fly Fishing Film Tour is a traveling roadshow that brings new action-packed fly fishing content to theaters while building community. Viewers this year will experience nine films from around the world, including an exploration of the Costa Marlin Project in Mexico, a search for massive peacock bass in the depths of the Amazon, and a journey in Washington's waters with a local steelhead guide. The tour aims to connect local fly fishers, educate, and support conservation efforts. F3T 2024 is presented by Costa and Skwala.
Washington Water Trust focuses on the key element that makes a stream a stream: the water. They work with farmers and landowners, government agencies, Tribes, nonprofits, businesses, and many others to find solutions to low flows in Walla Walla streams and beyond. Their projects keep more than 5.7 billion gallons of restored water flowing across Washington every year.
