The B Reactor Museum Association (BRMA) is pleased to present The Hanford Woman: The Cold War Years 1947-1991, a free, public event highlighting the vital role women played in the evolution of the Hanford Site mission following World War II.
This free presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:00 PM at the Richland Public Library (955 Northgate Dr, Richland, WA).
As the nation ramped up and later scaled back plutonium production throughout the Cold War, a dedicated, steady, and reliable workforce was essential. Women stepped up—filling roles in labor, laboratories, leadership, and beyond. This presentation will explore nearly six decades of their contributions and impact on the site’s history.
BRMA invites the public to join this engaging discussion and learn about the often-overlooked stories of the women who helped shape Hanford’s legacy
