Event Description

This is a fun workshop where we dive into soap making with easy Melt and Pour soap base. If you are looking for a fun and easy class where you walk away with wonderful gifts for yourself or others, this is it! This workshop is held at the beautiful Purple Star Winery in Benton City. The soap takes some time to set up, so we'll follow class with a happy hour of games and wine. Don't let anybody tell you "Melt and Pour" isn't real soap making! We explore additives such as colloidial oatmeal, clays, and essential oils to create great soaps! In this workshop each attendee will leave with 1 lb of soap in unique and creative designs. (that's about 4 4 oz bars or several smaller ones depending on the molds and designs you choose.) We provide the soap base, additives such as clays and essential oils, colorants, fragrance, and several fun molds to choose from. It takes about 1 hour to pour the soap and 1/2 to 1 hour to let it set up. We like to give our attendees some extra time for design ideas, questions, and to learn about the different ways you can easily make custom soaps in an afternoon. You will leave with your soaps and tons of information to make this a regular, fun hobby!
