Elliott Zajac and Kelli Cowell have teamed up to introduce the first one-on-one assisted stretching franchise, StretchLab, to the Tri-Cities.
The one-story facility, at 825 N. Edison Ave., Kennewick, next door to Golf Universe, features 2,240 square feet of space.
StretchLab is an Irvine, California-based franchise and part of Xponential Fitness, a group of boutique fitness franchises.
“We chose to establish a StretchLab in the Tri-Cities because we wanted to give back to our community. We recognize that stretching is vital for both mental and physical well-being. Our mission is to offer the highest quality assisted stretching services to clients of all backgrounds, helping them enhance their flexibility and range of motion, ultimately leading to improved quality of life, reduced pain, increased energy and a healthier longer life. The core values of StretchLab – freedom, energy, growth, community and caring – deeply resonate with us, and we’re excited to share these values with our community,” the franchise owners said in a statement.
Zajac is a graduate and former collegiate athlete from the University of Washington, where he celebrated a Rose Bowl victory in 2001.
Cowell, a Tri-Cities native and graduate of Kennewick High, attended Washington State University. She has a background in soccer as both a player and coach.
This Husky-Cougar duo has dedicated their lives to sports and fitness, believing that every fitness journey begins and ends with stretching.
They are passionate advocates for the idea that stretching is essential for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.
StretchLab is a membership-based studio that says it can accommodate all needs and budgets.
The shop also will sell Lululemon athletic wear.
The project cost $275,000.
Hummel Construction is the general contractor.
LPR Architecture of Kennewick is the architect.
